NUOL Showcases the Impact of the CIRCULAR Project
The National University of Laos (NUOL) has been actively promoting the CIRCULAR project at key regional and national events.
On 6 November 2024, NUOL participated in the Study in Europe Fair 2024 to showcase its CBHE projects, including CIRCULAR. The CIRCULAR Project Coordinator, Dr. Soubin Sisavath, and researcher Dr. Keuangkham Sisengnam took the lead in presenting the project’s objectives, consortium partners, and innovative work tasks to a diverse audience of students, academics, and visitors. They elaborated on the project’s core concepts, emphasising the circular economy and social innovation, and introduced the CIRCULAR Living Lab—a hub for exploring solutions in waste management and community participation. This interactive platform invited students and interested parties to engage with real-world applications of sustainability practices.
On 11-12 November 2024, NUOL’s CIRCULAR team showcased their work at the ASEAN Policy Forum on Higher Education in Vientiane, Laos. Represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bouasone Sengsourivong, CIRCULAR researchers, and volunteers, the team highlighted the project’s objectives, consortium partners, and significant outputs, with special attention to the CIRCULAR Living Lab. The presentation resonated with forum attendees, as it addressed pressing issues such as waste management and the circular economy—topics of increasing relevance in Laos and the ASEAN region. The forum served as a valuable platform for raising awareness about the project’s role in fostering sustainable practices and inspiring environmental responsibility.
NUOL’s proactive engagement has been instrumental in enhancing the visibility of the CIRCULAR project, reinforcing its commitment to driving sustainable innovation and fostering awareness across diverse audiences.
